Audition for the 2022 production of Ruth Page’s The Nutcracker!  

The quintessential holiday and family classic returns in 2022. Audition to be part of this annual tradition! 
Satuday, August 27 & Sunday, August 28
Auditions will be held in Studio 1 of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts - 1016 N Dearborn St 

 

Adult Audition: 

Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 11:00am – 3:00pm 

This audition is for Advanced and Professional dancers ages 13+ at time of audition. Women must audition en pointe, and must have a minimum of two years of pointe work. 

Bring a copy of your headshot and résumé. Rehearsal and Performance Pay included. Register HERE!

*Callbacks will take place on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 7:30 – 9:00pm. Attendance at our 6:00p Advanced/Professional Ballet class is strongly encouraged for warm-up. 

 

Rehearsals: Wednesday evening, Saturday & Sunday afternoons beginning September 10th. 

Open Advanced/Professional Classes (11:00am - 12:30pm) and Intermediate Classes (4:30pm - 6:00pm) will be held at the Ruth Page School of Dance in preparation for the audition, August 22 - August 26, 2022. Register here.

 

Children’s Audition: 

Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 11:00am – 3:00pm 

This audition is for dancers of all levels, ages 7-13 at time of audition. The youngest dancers will be released at approximately 12:00p. Older dancers should plan to stay for the entire audition. Dancers should be in appropriate ballet attire - tights, leotards, and ballet slippers.

Rehearsals: Saturday afternoons beginning September 10th 

Open Beginner and Intermediate Classes will be held at the Ruth Page School of Dance in preparation for the audition, from 4:30pm - 6:00pm, August 22 - August 26, 2022. Register here for "Back to Nutcracker" classes! Cost: $20 per class, or all 5 classes for $90!

 

Performances: 

We have in-person performances planned at TWO locations for the 2022 season! 
December 3rd & 4th at Northeastern Illinois University 
December 17th at College of Lake County - Grayslake, IL 

(not all members of the children’s cast will travel to Grayslake) 

 

Please note that there will be mandatory full cast rehearsals on November 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th.
