Chicago Dancemakers Forum Production Residency in partnership with The Ruth Page Center of the Arts.

Join us for a works in progress showing, featuring work by Rigo Saura and Braeden Barnes.

Rigo Saura has been selected as the first artist for the Chicago Dancemakers Forum annual Production Residency at The Ruth Page Center of the Arts. This residency has been made possible by collaborators Chicago Dancemakers Forum and the Performance Response Journal and is sponsored by the Walder Foundation. The basis of this residency is to create dance work using technical elements in collaboration with Sarah Lackner, a local lighting designer, Katerine Ricardo, a writer, who will document the process, and the dancers of the Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company.

As a part of this Residency, Rigo Saura is presenting his new work, “Pink Nights Never End,” performed by The Ruth Page Civic Ballet Training Company, along with “There Is No Place," a collaborative piece with Braeden Barnes of Symbiosis Arts, at a performance event on May 15th at Ruth Page Center for the Arts. There will be two shows, at 4:30 pm & 7:30 pm.

Both pieces are works in progress and showcase a common theme and collaboration between artists of the Chicago Dance Community.

*Audiences are expected to wear masks and are capped at 35 attendees to maintain physical spacing in the theater.
