The Ruth Page Center for the Arts Theater
Sunday, June 5, 2022 - 6:00pm
Sticky Notes, a ballet in one act based on the short story of the same name by children’s author, Kait Walsh, is presented by VHC Productions in association with The Ruth Page Center for the Arts and Ballet Chicago; an unprecedented collaboration in the Chicago dance community!
The production is produced and directed by Tracy Vonder Haar, long-term associate of RPCA (part-time faculty member since 1980), and current faculty member at Ballet Chicago. Choreography is by Ruth Page alumna and part-time faculty at Ballet Chicago, Logan Hutt. The preview performances will be held at Ballet Chicago on June 3 & 4, and the premiere will take place in The Ruth Page Center Theatre on June 5 at 6:00 PM. Los Angeles-based author Kait Walsh is expected to attend the performance and greet the audience at the reception following the premier.
Sticky Notes gives us a glimpse into the relationship between sisters, Lou and Gertie, and how on an otherwise joyful, carefree weekend filled with playful friends, they are confronted by a bully and help each other through a difficult time.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, and $25 for early entry tickets at RPCA. Children five years and up require their own ticket.
