The Ruth Page Center for the Arts is proud to provide a strong curriculum of dance classes through our Young Dancerís Training Program. The Centerís curriculum includes extensive ballet training with courses that teach the styles of Cecchetti, Vaganova, and the Royal Academy of Dance. In addition, we provide live piano accompaniment for all of our ballet classes giving students an opportunity to explore changes in rhythms, tempos and dynamics.
Our classes are structured so that a young dancer may progress from beginner to advanced technique levels in a systematic fashion. Students are strongly encouraged to attend all classes per term to ensure a healthy experience and positive technical advancement.
Unless otherwise noted, admission into a training program class is dependent on the studentís proven dance skills. For current Ruth Page students, approval from a previous instructor is required to register for a more advanced class. New students will be required to demonstrate their current level of skill to be admitted to a class for the first time. In the class description section, please note that the ages listed for each class represent the typical age range for the class. If you have any questions about choosing the best class for your child, please contact the front desk staff at 312-337-6543.
