Past In-Residence

Over the decades, some of Chicago's most beloved arts organizations have called 1016 N. Dearborn home. Shakespeare Repertory grew here before becoming Chicago Shakespeare Theater. DanceWorks Chicago and River North Dance Chicago found their footing in our studios, while Chicago Children's Theatre, Porchlight Music Theatre, and Lookingglass Theatre Company each spent time building their work in the Ruth Page Theater. Ruth Page believed in giving artists room to grow, and more than 50 years later, we still do.

Espacio Creativo

Espacio Creativo is a new artistic initiative that provides project-based subsidized studio space to dancemakers. The program allows artists the time and space to nurture their creative process, refine their craft, and develop new work.
